I owned this album in my college years in the mid 70's, after watching Urbaniak's band open up for Return to Forever. They were striking in concert, since the electric violin was still a novelty and singer-wife Ursula Dudziak was so unique. Their first American album Fusion was quite good, and the songs had a deeper impact a la Weather Report/5(11).
  3. Vudogul says:
After Urbaniak returned to Poland and the violin (which he abandoned for the saxophone during the time in Scandinavia), he created the Michał Urbaniak Group, to which he invited, among others, Urszula Dudziak (vocals), Adam Makowicz (piano), Pawel Jarzebski – bass and Czeslaw Bartkowski – drums They recorded their first international.
  4. Kigalar says:
Michal Urbaniak is a jazz-fusion violinist from the s who style is similar to Jean-Luc Ponty. Issuing many fine albums over decades, many of them feature his wife Ursula Dudziak. Fusion III was originally issued in on Columbia Records. In addition to Dudziak, this album features John Abercrombie, Anthony Jackson, Steve Gadd & Larry /5(11).

Apr 30,  · A constellation. A very apt title for this album. Recorded in Warsaw in , just before Urbaniak and Dudziak departed for the US, with a well tested combo of Polish jazz musicians: Makowicz, Karolak, Bartkowski. This album, although quite different from the Fusion (by the same group), can be viewed as its slightly younger sister.5/5(2).
